Eisenhower Church of Christ Welcomes Allen Weakland & Family

Allen Weakland and his family will be coming to work with our congregation in June 2007. He has been invited to serve as our pulpit minister and he has graciously accepted our invitation. Allen is married to Christy and together they have two children, Hannah 10, and Joshua 4. They are coming to us from Broken Arrow, OK.

Allen was born in Davenport, Iowa, but was raised most of his life on a small farm in Michigan. He is 41. He graduated from Midwest School of Biblical Studies in Sugar Creek, MO in 1993 and began his full time work. He received a BA in Bible from Freed Hardeman in 1999. Allen loves all kinds of hunting, but mostly bow hunting. He also enjoys camping and bicycling..

He married Christy Stanton June 14, 1991. They met at Oklahoma Christian, where they attended two years before marrying and moving to MO to attend preaching school. Christy was born in Fort Worth and is 35. She graduated from East Texas State University - Texarkana in 1996 and passed the CPA exam that fall. She worked for a CPA firm during school until Hannah was born in 1997. They have been blessed for her to stay home since then. She enjoys aerobics, camping and cooking..

Hannah was born in Texarkana, TX. She loves music and sports but her real passion is horses. She takes lessons and wants to learn to barrel race. She loves school and being with friends. Joshua loves everything a boy loves; superheroes, dinosaurs, cars, sports. They both love camping. They have an 11 year old dog, Coco, who has bad arthritis in both hips, but is a very loving chocolate lab. .

We, at the Eisenhower Church of Christ, hope that you will take every opportunity to come worship with us and help us give the Weakland Family a warm West Texas welcome. We are excited to get the opportunity to work together with Allen, Christy, and their children.
