Special Graduate Edition ~ High School Graduates

Kayli Kristine Martell
Kayli is the daughter of Gina & Joe Schippers and Bob & Paula Martell. She has attended the Eisenhower Church of Christ for 18 years. Kayli will be graduating from Permian High School on May 26, 2007. She plans on continuing her education at the University of Texas at Austin ( go Longhorns). She will either major in Liberal Arts or Business. She also hopes to study internationally. Kayli enjoys playing the violin and performing with Satin Strings. She also enjoys sharing her knowledge of Math with others. Two of Kayli's joys are working with children and spending time with her friends. We want to wish Kayli all the best the future has to bring full of God's blessings.

Jacey Wesson
Jacey is the daughter of Jeff & Holly Wesson. She has attended the Eisenhower Church of Christ for 18 years. Jacey will be graduating from Odessa High School on May 25, 2007. Her honors include being a member of the National Honor Society and Broncho Polo. While at OHS, Jacey played on the golf team, served on the Junior and Senior boards, completed Junior Leadership, was a member of the DFYIT Teen Board, and enjoyed keeping stats as a manager for the Odessa High baseball team. She plans on continuing her education at Blinn Junior College and completing her education at Texas A & M (go Aggies). She will major in Business/Marketing or Political Science.. Jacey enjoys skiing, music, history, government, and spending time with family and friends. We will miss Jacey, but send her off with lots of well wishes and prayers.

Joshua Ryan Bell
Joshua is the son of Roy Lee Bell & Robbie Schooley. His grandparents are Lee Roy & Sharon Bell and great grandmother is Roberta Hamil. Joshua has attended the Eisenhower Church of Christ off and on for 18 years. He will be graduating from Permian High School on May 26, 2007. Joshua plans on continuing his education at Universal Technical Institute in Spring, TX. His goal is to become an engineer technician. He enjoys street rods. He has been on the gymnastics team at Permian for four years. His accomplishments on this team include the following: 2006 State Finalist High Bar (4th place), 2005 State Finalist High Bar (6th place), 2006 Regional High Bar Champion, 2004 State and National Champion team, 2005 State and National Champion team, and 2006 State and National Runner-Up team. Our thoughts and prayers go with you.

Marcus Alan Crain
Marcus Alan Crain is the son of Larry and Cindy Crain. He has attended the Eisenhower Church of Christ for 16 years. He will be graduating from Permian High School on May 26, 2007. Marcus will either be joining the Navy in July of 2007 or continue his education to study Philosophy or Physics. Marcus enjoys reading, sleeping and watching television. He also enjoys playing on his guitar. Marcus also enjoys eating cookies. Marcus has been a great part of our youth group and he will be dearly missed. We hope that Marcus is able to fulfill all of his dreams. God Bless you, Marcus.

College Graduate
Jay Kelly Marrs
Kelly is the son of Tony & Debbie Marrs. He currently resides in Lubbock, TX. He has attended the Eisenhower Church of Christ for 24 years. Kelly graduated from Texas Tech on May 11, 2007. He earned a degree in Master of Science. Kelly enjoys handball, water sports, and golf. Congratulations Kelly!


Sympathy
We express our sympathy to the family of SylviaLocke, mother of Linda Whisenant. Sylvia passed away on Sunday, May 13th. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 16th at Hubbard Kelly.Current Concerns
Rudy Sanchez's, father of Barbara Martinez and son of Cecilia Bethune, surgery was cancelled. He will have a procedure done on Thursday, May 17th at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Jurlean Warren is having some health issues at this time. She will be having tests run either this week or next.
Barney Ruffner went into Rehab Care in Midland. He could be there for as long as a week.
Charles Watson had tests done on Tuesday, May 15th.
Patsy Sanchez, sister of Estella Morolez, is having tests done to confirm her lupus diagnosis and to figure out what type it is.
LeeRoy Bell is struggling with a low pulse rate and has been put on a monitor to be able to keep and eye on it.

Watch In Search of the Lord's Way with Mack Lyon every Sunday morning at 7:30 am on CBS, channel 7. This week's topic will be titled, "Never Forget."

FYI
We will be having a ladies' work day on May 19th. We will be cleaning, painting, and decorating classrooms. If you can help, please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board in the east foyer. We are planning to work from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. More details will come as it gets closer.
If anyone would like to contribute towards Miguel Arroyo Jr.'s medical expenses please fill out one of the special contribution envelopes or you can give it to one of the elders or simply bring it to the office. Thus far, the amount comes to $450.00.
The Cherokee Home for Children will be hosting their annual grocery drive on May 26th. They have requested the following items: laundry stain remover, liquid laundry detergent, fabric softener, bleach, (no aerosol cans.)
The New Mexico Christian Children's Home will be here on June 4th. Some requested items are cream of chicken soup, sugar, and plastic food wrap. They are also accepting monetary donations.
