We will be hosting our VBS on July 21st, 22nd, and 23rd.

It will begin at 10:00 a.m. each morning and end at 12:00 p.m.
For ages 2 years old up to 6th grade. We hope you can join us.

Hazel Cavanaugh had knee surgery on Wednesday morning at Alliance Hospital. She is doing well.
Alice Kopec, sister of Mildred Lee, has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. Alice lives in Kansas City, MO.

Events
Watch In Search of the Lord's Way with Mack Lyon every Sunday morning at 7:30 am on CBS, channel 7. This week's topic will be entitled, "The Memorial to Christ."
Texas & Clements will be hosting their annual Ladies' Day on August 9, 2008. Their theme is "Whatsoever, Be Content." Please mark your calendars. If at all possible please contact our office if you plan on attending so that we may give them an approximate head count at least a week before the event.
Our Vacation Bible School will be held on July 21st, 22nd, and 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Please bring cookies to the building by July 20th.

The Lakeview Christian Home will be here on the week of July 21st. They have requested canned fruit, or any canned foods.
There will be a crib shower for Natalie Faith Morolez. The crib will be set up in the east foyer. Birth Announcement
Congratulations to Alex & Shannon Morolez on the birth of their daughter, Natalie Faith Morolez. Natalie was born on Thursday, July 10th. She weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces and was 20 3/4 inches long. Proud grandparents are Juan & Estella Morolez.

Thank You
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Johnny and Karla Warren for purchasing pew Bibles for our use during worship services and Bible Class. They are beautiful Bibles and we need to take care of them. Please be sure to thank the Warrens for their generosity. Look for these Bibles after VBS.

Special Request Eddy Parker from Georgetown, TX will be moving here to Odessa on August 1st. He is a member at Lake Victor Church of Christ. He has been hired as the new coach at Nimitz. He is needing an apartment, small house, or a room to rent for awhile. He will have a small dog with him. If you can help in any way please call the office for his phone number.

Youth
We are still needing hosts for the monthly youth devotionals. Please sign up to host one or more on the sign up sheet on the bulletin board in the east foyer.

Our food coordinators for the month of July are Barbie Martinez, Rocio Chacon, and Rachel Galvan.
We are trying to fill our pantry. Every two weeks we will have new suggested items. TThis week's suggestions are pancake mix, assorted can fruits, assorted cereal.
