Is Life without Christ - Really Life?
A few years ago, I saw a commercial on TV by some denomination. The commercial set forth some very interesting thoughts which would be worthy of our consideration. In it, the narrator pointed out that man could live for around 30-40 days without food, and around 4-5 minutes without air. Though these are astounding facts, what caught my attention was what they asked next, "But how long can man live without Jesus Christ?"
As you can imagine, my mind started to go full speed. After all, look at all the people of this world who go about "life" not really living at all. Sure, their bodies experience physical life but spiritually speaking, they are dead, lost without God and without Christ (Eph. 2:1-ff). In essence, many in the world are walking about dead, yet it doesn't seem to bother them. Perhaps it is because men have forgotten what life is really all about? Could it be that we have lost sight of the facts that Christ asserted when He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6)? Can we truly say, as the apostle Paul did, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me" (Gal. 2:20)? Are our physical lives so important to us that we've neglected our spiritual side?
The world cannot live without Christ – and neither can we who are His children. Thus, let us all do something which will either introduce others to the One who can bring "LIFE" or restore those who had once sought life in Christ Jesus (Gal. 6:1). Remember, life without Christ is not really life after all.

Dear Eisenhower Family,
It's easy to say thank you but harder to let you know just how much your thoughtfulness is appreciated. Your prayers, hugs, kind thoughts and the many, many, cards during Roy's illness and passing helped sustain the entire family through this difficult time. Many thanks to the ladies that prepared and served a wonderful meal for our family the day of the funeral. Thank you for remembering, understanding and bringing comfort during this time. We know Roy is in a better place and no longer suffering but it still hurts in our hearts. Praying the incredible gifts only God can give will be yours in abundance throughout the years. Please continue to pray for us.
In Christian love,
The Family of Roy Brown: Hazel Brown, James Brown Family, Teresa Ingram Family, Bill Brown Family
