Sympathy
We express our sympathy to the family of Sandy Duncan, niece of Mildred Bell. Sandy passed away in Missouri on Tuesday. Funeral services are pending.
We express our sympathy to the family of Alma Stallard. Funeral services were December 28th.

Current Concerns Kayli Martell had gallbladder surgery today.
Sydney Galvan had her adenoids and tonsils removed in addition to having tubes put in her ears today. She is at home resting but with a lot of pain.
Jason Nunley has asked for prayers both for his physical health as well as his spiritual health.
Nell O Beth Willoughby will be having gallbladder surgery in the very near future.
Bessie Peevy has an appointment on January 4 to decide when to do her surgery. She is in good spirits and feeling fine.

Events
We will be having a new year's fellowship on Sunday, December 31st immediately following the evening worship service. Please bring games and finger foods.
The Somebody Loves You Banquet and the Progressive Dinner will be combined along with a talent show this year on February 9th at the Slater Park Community Building. It will begin at 6:30 p.m. If you have any questions regarding this upcoming event please contact Lana Howard or Sonia Wood. We will post new information for this event as it comes available.
The Tipton Home truck will be in our area January 8th-10th. They will be glad to pick up any supplies we have collected. They have requested these items: corn meal, oatmeal, gallon zip lock bags, quart zip lock bags, cereal, salmon, Vienna sausage, plum jelly, Lime away, handy wipes, scrubbing bubbles, & toilet bowl cleaner.
For Lynn and Sherilyn Money on January 7th in the multipurpose building at the Sherwood Church of Christ, immediately following the evening service. More information is posted on the bulletin board in the east foyer.
Mike Hisaw will be conducting a gospel meeting here on January 14th -16th. Please invite your family and friends. We will also be having a pot-luck luncheon following the morning service on January 14th. Please bring covered dishes.

Office News
The office will be closed on Friday, December 29th and Monday, January 1st in observance of the holidays. The edifier will also not be mailed the last two weeks of the year. Please check the website for any new updates.
